Getting Started

What is Canvas?

Remington College utilizes the Canvas Learning Management system to house all of its online courses. Canvas is a robust, state of the art application that will allow you to communicate with your instructors and classmates, submit assignment, complete quizzes and exams, review course content, and track your academic progress.

Accessing Your Online Courses

To login to Canvas, please us the link below. If you are logging for the first time, please select the Reset/Create New Password link to set up your login credentials. It is very important that you are using the email address that we have for you in our system. If you are unsure of which email is stored in our system, please contact your instructor or your registrar.

Answers to Your Questions

When can I access Canvas?

All students will have access to the Canvas system three weeks prior to the term start. Your preliminary access will allow you to review and complete the student orientation shell, which will help you become more familiar with the features and functionality of the system.

When can I access my actual course?

All courses will open up on Monday at 12:01am on the day of the term start.

How do I get help when I need it?

Once inside Canvas, you will see a "Support" tab located at the bottom left-hand side of the page. This support icon provides you with 24/7 access to the technical support helpdesk. You will also have many options for communicating with your instructors and other personnel to receive the support you need. If you need help with anything that would not be considered a technical issue, please reach out to your instructor first. You can also contact the HelpDesk directly at (844) 805-2213.

I am not receiving my password reset email, why?

If you have selected the "Reset/Create New Password" link on the login screen and have not received an email notificiation, please check with your Registrar or your Instructor to make sure you are using the correct email address. If the email addresses match, please make sure you are attempting to login at https://remingtoncollege.instructure.com

How do I become familiar with Canvas?

Every new student at Remington College will be enrolled into the Canvas Student Orientation shell. You will have access to this course two weeks prior to the start of your first class. The orientation is designed to help you become more familiar with the features and functionality of the online learning environment.

Our Career Services department works tirelessly with our students and graduates to support them in their job search. From resume writing and interviewing techniques, to making connections with employers and holding job fairs, we provide support to current students and graduates. Financial Aid

The process of deciding how to pay for your education can be an intimidating experience if you have never gone through it before. Fortunately, our financial aid officers are on hand during the enrollment process to make sure you are aware of all of your options and have filled out the appropriate paperwork to ensure a smooth transition into your educational journey.

Did you know that most students rely on some form of financial aid to help pay for their education?(2) Some receive grants, others get scholarships and still others take out loans.If you qualify, you too might be able to get some financial assistance. Regardless of your situation, you can definitely get help figuring out what options are available to you. Each student's needs vary. In order to qualify for different types of financial aid, you will need to meet the following conditions.

You may have to:

  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Have earned either a high school diploma or GED (or an acceptable equivalent).
  • Have a valid Social Security number.
  • Be a U.S. citizen (or an eligible non-citizen).

The U.S. Department of Education uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, known as the FAFSA, to determine the types of aid for which you are eligible.The FAFSA is completed online. However, if you need assistance completing the application a Remington College Student Finance Associate is only a call away if you need help at any point. You can also visit www.studentaid.ed.gov or call 1-800-433-3423 to get information directly from the Federal Student Aid Center.

We are Remington College: a non-profit, accredited career training school focused on the needs of students who are ready to make a change. While no reputable college can guarantee employment after graduation, our programs are expected to be in demand by local employers and were created to help students gain a personal understanding of their field.
